The valve stem is divided into two types: open stem and concealed stem. The design of the open stem allows the valve stem to rise and fall with the opening or closing of the gate, while the concealed stem only opens and closes the gate by rotating and rising, keeping its position unchanged. In addition, the operation mode of gate valves with different diameters also varies. Small diameter gate valves are usually operated manually, while large diameter gate valves may be equipped with spur gear transmission or electric motor transmission devices.
